Our December main film will be Amazing Grace...

Concert documentary of Aretha Franklin recording her live gospel album of the same name, at the New Temple Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles in 1972.

Brilliantly capturing a remarkable performer near the peak of her prodigious power, Amazing Grace is a thrilling must-watch documentary for Aretha Franklin fans.  The album went on to become the highest-selling gospel music album of all time. The 87 minute film was made from 20 hours of raw footage originally taken by director Sydney Pollack using 16 mm cameras.

“Surely the new gold standard of filmed music concerts?” Little White Lies

“I felt wrung out at the end of this film. How incredible must it have been for those who were there in person.” Guardian

Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for under 18s, and are available online now or in advance from Watts Trading or on the door if not already sold out.
