Are you there God? It's me, Margaret (PG)

Monday 25th September 2023

Doors and bar open 7pm, film starts 8pm

Our September main film will be Are you there God? It's me, Margaret...

In this big-screen adaptation of Judy Blume's classic and groundbreaking coming of age novel, 11-year-old Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) is uprooted from her life in New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, going through the messy and tumultuous throes of puberty with new friends in a new school. She relies on her mother, Barbara (Rachel McAdams), who is also struggling to adjust to life outside the big city, and her adoring grandmother, Sylvia (Kathy Bates), who isn't happy they moved away and likes to remind them every chance she gets.

'As lovely, heartfelt and, indeed, deeply radical as the original text.' Katie Walsh, Tribune News Service

'Simply wonderful.' Linda Marric, The Jewish Chronicle

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 18s and are available online now.
