Elvis (12A)

Monday 28th November 2022

Doors and bar open 7pm, film starts 8pm

Our November film will be Elvis...

The film explores the life and music of Elvis Presley, seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker. The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley's rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, and loss of innocence. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis's life, Priscilla Presley. Baz Luhrmann's dazzling energy and style is perfectly complemented by Austin Butler's outstanding lead performance.

'Austin Butler, who gives a remarkable performance as Presley; it’s not an homage, he embodies the singer, so much so that you forget you’re not looking at the real thing. He’s Oscar-worthy.'' A Film Life, Ian Taylor, Sheila Taylor

'A film that has everything, entertains and moves, and makes the viewer participate so much as to make you want to dance on the armchairs'  Amazing Cinema, Daniele Buzzurro

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 18s and are available online now.
