Our March screen 2 film will be I, Daniel Blake...

Daniel Blake has worked as a joiner most of his life in Newcastle. Now, for the first time ever, he needs help from the State. He crosses paths with a single mother Katie and her two young children, Daisy and Dylan. Daniel and Katie find themselves in no-man's land, caught on the barbed wire of welfare bureaucracy as played out against the rhetoric of 'striver and skiver' in modern day Britain.

"With I, Daniel Blake, his latest film and one of his finest, Loach's talent for humour runs through the entire work." Pamela Hutchinson, Sight and Sound

"Equally heartwarming and heartbreaking. A testament to the humanism of writer/director Ken Loach." Avi Offer, NYC Movie Guru

Tickets cost £4 for adults and £2 for under 18s, and are available online now or in advance from Watts Trading or on the door if not already sold out.
