I'm Still Here (15)

Monday 30th November 2026

Doors open 6.45pm, film starts 7.30pm

Our November film will be I'm Still Here...

The true story of persecuted journalist Rubens Paiva. It's 1971 and the country is run by a brutal dictatorship. Paiva (Selton Mello) is an engineer and ex-congressman from the opposition party. His family tries to live as normal a life as possible, until he's seized by authorities. "I'm Still Here" goes beyond being just another film about the military dictatorship, offering a human, intense, and brutally intimate portrait of a family unraveling under overwhelming, uncontrollable forces.

'Of all the winners at the recent Academy Awards ceremony, the one that gave me the most joy was I’m Still Here taking the Best International Feature Oscar, as it truly was one of last year's very best films.' Matt Brunson, Film Frenzy

'Fernanda Torres completely earned every single nomination she has had.' Lady Jenevia, ladyjenevia (Youtube)
