Our March Screen 2 film will be The Banshees of Inisherin...

On a remote island off the west coast of Ireland, lifelong friends Pádraic and Colm, find themselves at an impasse when Colm unexpectedly puts an end to their friendship. A stunned Pádraic endeavours to repair the relationship, refusing to take no for an answer. But Pádraic's repeated efforts only strengthen his former friend’s resolve and when Colm delivers a desperate ultimatum, events swiftly escalate, with shocking consequences.

'It's a gut punch of a comic-drama that keeps finding new ways to land hard-hitting body blows, and it's easily one of the year's very best films.' Adam Graham, Detroit News

'Shudderingly funny and dazzlingly performed' The Telegraph

Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 18s and are available online now.

Safe Space

Before the film we will be showing Safe Space, a short film, written and directed by Issy Songer.

"Through the perspective of a girls school bathroom mirror we see a variety of school dramas; from gossips and embarrassing moments, to the unseen struggles of young girls."

Issy went to school at Lerryn, Fowey and Truro college and has recently graduated from Brighton Film School. Her short film Safe Space won the 2022 Brighton New Voices award. Issy is working on a sequel to Safe Space and is looking for donations to help fund it.
