On Saturday 27th August, the bank holiday weekend, we'll be showing Top Gun on King George V playing field, next to the Community Centre.

As last year, we'll be showing the film in conjunction with Lostwithiel Rotary to raise money for Rotary charities. There will be a hog roast and bar. Bring your own chairs, picnics and blankets for when the sun goes down. Sorry, no dogs are allowed on the playing field.

Doors, hog roast and bar will be open from 7.30pm and the film will start at 8.30pm.

Top Gun is the 1986 film directed by Tony Scott with big power tunes, bigger flight sequences and a very young Tom Cruise whose "ego is writing cheques that his body can't cash". If you haven't seen it on the big screen you're in for a treat!

Empire Magazine said it has "not only become a cultural icon but remains infinitely rewatchable."

Top Gun will be shown on Saturday 27th August, at King George V playing field, Lostwithiel. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £2.50 for under 18s, and are available online now or in advance from Watts Trading or on the gate if not already sold out.
